Just a reminder for Monday evening’s training session - 7.30pm at the pitches.
Not much to work on in attack - basically just going to work on defensive organisation and communication!
See you all then…

Overall not a bad result - considering the ‘gear’ issues and the ref’s inability to count 5 meters properly…
We produced some great attacking play - producing another try from the ladies (Go Aoife) - some good interlinking between everybody.
Again we were our own worst enemies in relation to offside, turnovers, communication, shape and general organisation. I know as we progress we can tighten up on all these issues.
We are very lucky to possess a great bunch of ladies - who add to our game - can anybody remember the other team’s ladies doing anything? Did they pass it to the girls on the other team???
Claire, Roisin, Annika, Karen and Sinead all got stuck in, both in defence and attack - we need more of it though.
There is a session set for Monday night - at 7.30 I think hail, rain or snow we should train as we are playing the top team next week who have only conceded 3 tries in 3 games…
Go Team!
Hey all
Kick off is at 7.40 , we are playing a team called Ramrod 2 who have won one and lost one.
The weather is supposed to be over cast and dry and we are wearing white.
See you all there
The Jagermeisters pick up there first points!!! Go TEAM.
More than anything it was a great team effort - a million miles better than last week.
Although lets not get carried we didn’t win - and the other team did a lot to help us. That said if we have a session on Sunday I think we can improve again for next week and start winning games.
There were some superb individual performances - Betina getting us off the mark with a well executed try.
Alex with his brace and great support work - Aoife slotting in at dummy half - (no blond jokes please!!!) Great running from both Roisin and Sinead - not to mention Lalor’s try in the corner and Sheener’s pair.
Last word has to go to Ronan’s match leveling score in the corner with one minute to go
So lets all try and make it for 5pm on Sunday evening…
Go team
Hey all
From now on I’m not going to send any more emails - its more efficient if we all communicate on the website - just post a comment.
As yesterdays training session we rained off and now its too late to organise one for tonight, we are next in action on Wednesday night at 7pm - so a bit early but we can all meet at the pitch instead of the tube station.
If anybody can’t play just post a comment saying you can’t - see the rest of you there on Wednesday at 7pm
Last night was the first touch game for many of us and I think we can be proud of the effort - although the score line wasn’t that great (2-10) we did some things really well.
In defence we hustled well - pushing them backwards in the tackle - Scott getting some nice boob action!!!, we showed some nice flashes of play particularly between Darragh, Mark and Ronan on the far touch line.
In the end we were beaten by a much more organised team, they kept their shape (In a line) much better, they used their possessions to maximum advantage and they restarted on the mark.
If we work on these - and towards the end of the match we had already started coming back to the mark and lining out better - we will win matches.
I think it’s crucial that we have a training session before the next match to go through formation, retention, restarting from the mark and inclusion - we need to get the ladies involved a lot more - instead of leaving them on the wing with a 2 on 1 to defend.
Which day suits people Sunday/Monday?
All in all despite the result it was a good start - we have the basics now all we need to do is get more organised and the great thing is, its actually very simple too
oh and fines
Mark for being substituted off by the ref
Sheener for that knock on
Scott for that boob action on pinky
Hey
You can find the fixture list here
Our First kick off is at 8.20pm this Wednesday - so lets meet at 7.30 and head down nice and early we will have to register and warm up…
Last nights training was going very well until - like our friends in SW19 rain stopped play.
We made the best of a bad evening with some great performances - Scott, James, Ronan, Betina, Annika & Claire take a bow. Mark - you have a lot of work to do… and Stu well your never online so I can slag you off as much as I like and you’ll never know.
Anyway we are going to have our next training session tomorrow night - Wednesday hopefully if it doesn’t rain I will be able to take some photo’s.
We had 9 people last night so lets try and keep the numbers up again.
Due to the weather - a statement on their website said: After the recent inclement weather and consultation with the Grounds Maintenance staff of the relevant London venues we have collectively made a decision to delay the start of the London Summer League to the week beginning 09 July 07. This will enable the Grounds Maintenance Staff to ensure the fields are in top condition for the start of the Summer Season.
So we have one more week to get up to speed - still going to have the training session on Monday night and I’m going to try and get a second session before the start of the league - let me know when you are all free…
Is set for Monday evening - same bat time same bat place - The Alexandra Pub at 7.30 pm.
Hopefully the rain will ease off for us….
